Brake Rotors for Street / Sport / Racing Motorcycles

Invented by Galfer in the early 90’s to solve the problem of water and mud on brake rotor surfaces of trial competition motorcycles. As we developed the design we discovered an added benefit: the brake system was running cooler. This was worth exploring. When we combined our new design with the premium materials we had already developed for our round rotors, the resulting breakthrough began the new generation of brake rotor technology.

  • Made of Galfer’s unique High Carbon 420 SS / 8 composite
  • Laser cut (not stamped like most others)
  • Double disc – parallel grinding to assure perfect parallel flatness
  • Heat-treated to each specific application (to assure warp resistance)
  • Each of our designs are CAD-CAM and tested with a stress analysis program, as well as dyno / real life tested prior to being offered on the market.
  • KBA and TUV approved

Galfer Wave® rotors are protected under US PTO# 6, 386, 340 and US Trademark# 76, 517, 881.

Standard Wave® Rotor

Standard Wave® Rotor

  • Designed both for street and track
  • Keeps brake system cooler by allowing air to pass over every point of a brake pad surface
  • Best friction surface of any stainless steel rotor
  • Full floating Wave® blades ensure optimum pad-to-rotor contact for maximum stopping force and feel.
  • Seamlessly replaces stock rotor
  • Extremely predictable and consistent
  • Provides outstanding performance even in the most aggressive conditions
  • Drastically increase lever feel / modulation and brake torque

Galfer’s Standard Wave® rotors are engineered to provide the best performance in the market. Every aspect of our design, from the materials and manufacturing processes to the extensive testing, have been carefully chosen to produce the best quality stainless steel rotor available. The Standard Wave® rotor provides premium performance both on the street and at the track, and its influence in the industry can be seen in all the designs that try to copy its look.

Rear Wave® Rotor

Rear Wave® Rotor

  • Designed both for street and track
  • Keeps brake system cooler by allowing air to pass over every point of a brake pad surface
  • Best friction surface of any stainless steel rotor
  • Seamlessly replaces stock rotor
  • Extremely predictable and consistent
  • Provides outstanding performance even in the most aggressive conditions

Galfer’s solid-mount Rear Wave® rotors provide all the advantages of the front rotors when coupled with the floating rear calipers found on most motorcycles. Combining the best materials and manufacturing process, these rotors will handle everything you throw at them. Patented inner and outer Wave® design minimizes heat transfer, equalizes dissipation and evens out pad wear.

Superbike Wave® Rotor

Superbike Wave® Rotor

  • For race use only
  • An active cooling system – the alternating diagonal slots aren’t there just to be pretty
  • Cryo-treated for longer lasting performance
  • Enables late braking, especially later in a race when your opponents are starting to fade
  • Full floating Wave® blades ensure optimum pad-to-rotor contact for maximum stopping force and feel.

Superbike Wave® rotor technology is the pinnacle of rotor design. The ultimate expression of our “Turn12″ philosophy of brake performance, the Superbike rotor demonstrates that while many manufacturers may make brakes that work well in Turn 1 of Lap 1, it’s how those brakes are performing in Turn 12, or in Lap 20, that shows the quality of the product. Time and time again, Galfer riders can be seen out-braking their competition late in races for outstanding results. Just ask Martin Cardenas, who won many races using our brakes on his way to 2010 Daytona Supersport Championship.

Harley Wave® Rotor

Harley Wave® Rotor

The best rotor available for a Harley-Davidson motorcycle

  • Designed both for street and track
  • Keeps brake system cooler by allowing air to pass over every point of a brake pad surface
  • Best friction surface of any stainless steel rotor
  • Full floating Wave® blades ensure optimum pad-to-rotor contact for maximum stopping force and feel.
  • Seamlessly replaces stock rotor
  • Extremely predictable and consistent
  • Drastically increase lever feel / modulation and brake torque

Harley-Davidson has a great reputation in a lot of areas, but let’s face it, brakes has never been one of them. While recent upgrades have improved performance when compared to the older models, it’s time to stop accepting that “better brakes” means the same thing as “good brakes”. When you think about the value of what’s riding on your bike, it might make sense to look beyond the “sometimes you gotta lay her down” school of stopping.
