Galfer rider Stephanie Pietz (better known on Instagram as @mz.pietz)is an avid rider, racer, builder, and all around badass. We caught up with her to find out more about her background, what she’s working on now, and of course why she loves riding Galfer!
My name is Stephanie Pietz and I started riding as soon as I was old enough to buy my own bike. I didn’t grow up in a racing family but I learned to ride as a kid. I chose to pursue riding as an adult because I loved it, and is probably around the same price as a good therapist! I started competing in my mid 20s and since then I’ve met so many amazing people in the industry that offer so much support that I just want to keep pushing and learning as much as I can. I love any and all disciplines of riding, I don’t discriminate. I’ve been fortunate enough to have had the opportunities to experience a lot of different riding avenues, from Freestyle Moto and Supermoto to Flat track, off-road, etc. I still haven’t gotten on a road bike course yet, but I’m sure it will happen soon! I just love riding and will continue until I’m physically incapable of it.
My current projects include getting my Harley Sportster ready for next year’s flat track season and getting an application submitted to the Royal Enfield Team to potentially race with them next year. If I’m accepted, I will have a Royal Enfield flat tracker build to keep me busy! I just finished one of my projects I’ve been working on for the last 6 months. That was my 03 CR250 build. This was the same type of bike I learned to ride on and have always wanted one.
I currently run Galfer on my 91 FXR, my 03 CR250 and my 96 Harley Sportster. I was introduced to Galfer during my FXR build in 2020. I had heard nothing but great things about Galfer and after riding my bike home 800 miles with my new setup, it solidified all the positive reviews. It made me want to set up all my bikes with Galfer. Cosmetically, I love everything about Galfer products; the lines, rotors and hardware always look super clean. Mechanically, they’ve performed better than any other setup I’ve used. I’m hard on my back brakes and I’ve noticed the pads last longer and it grabs better without getting squishy.
